A 23-year-old Bryan woman accused of setting her ex-roommate's motorcycle on fire was released from the Brazos County Jail on Tuesday.
According to a report from the Fire Marshal's Office, Rachel Nicole Riley had recently moved from a home on Gilbert Street after failing to pay rent and getting into disagreements with her roommates.
Several of them were home Nov. 2 and told police that they saw Riley about 20 yards from the front porch when they noticed that a motorcycle parked there was on fire.
Officials believe Riley poured something, probably gasoline, on the motorcycle before setting it on fire.
Riley was arrested Monday and charged with arson, a first-degree felony that can result in a life prison sentence upon conviction.
She was released after posting $10,600 bail. She also had two warrants, one for not having liability insurance and one for disregarding a stop sign.
