Teen accused of sexually assaulting 16-year-old cousin

A 17-year-old man remained jailed Thursday after police said his 16-year-old cousin accused him of sexually assaulting her in Bryan.
The girl told police that she had taken sleeping medication and was asleep in her room early Wednesday morning when her cousin came in and sexually assaulted her until she awoke; according to the police report that states that he then left.
Police responded to a call reporting the assault at 4:14 a.m., and found the man at his Bryan home, according to a police report. The man said he borrowed someone's phone at the girl's home, but did not go into her bedroom, according to the report.
However, police said they took DNA evidence from him and asked him again what happened, when he changed his story. He said he went into his cousin's bedroom while she was sleeping and asked to borrow a pen, according to the police report. He told police he then began having sex with her, but that she never told him to stop, according to the report.
The man was charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony, which is punishable by up to 20 years in jail and a fine up to $10,000. He was also arrested on a parole violation, according to a police report. Bail was set at $40,000.
The Eagle does not report the name of suspects if doing so could identify the possible victim of a sexual assault.

Comment Title: Trashing Bryan
What is with everyone trashing Bryan citizens?This is my first time here and everyone commenting on sex crimes is targeting Bryan.There are upstanding people here.I am sure there is trouble in every town.I have been here 17 years and have seen the same quality people here and in College Station.I really don't even notice a difference when I cross the city limits,which I do daily.There is plenty of outstanding people in our community.Don't let the actions of a troubled few condemn all of us.

I would ask what is in the genes of College Station residents like the "father" below and the ex parole officer and "grandfather" who molested his granddaughter and was sentenced essentially to life. If College Station residents are not messing with family females, they are messing with little boys.

Good question. While we are on the subject, where does this incident rank in comparison with the 35 year old College Station father arrested for molesting his 15 year old daughter on March 14 of this year?

how ya know he he was having sex with her asleep she might have been awake the whole time enjoying it but after it happen she hollers rape...i have seen to many guys in jail cause they holler rape after wards ....you just can't go having sex with some body laying there if she did not want it she could have move or push him away ...

Wow, how quickly we forget our infamous Aggie Grad, College Station resident, and world traveler, Bruce Unger Jr and act as if all College Station residents are perfect. Unger may not have messed with family members, but he sure messed with boys who had his trust. No excuse for this kid's behavior and he needs to receive the appropriate punishment for his crime.

Just as I thought how sick it was to have a nude photo of a child in College Station. I see that Bryan residents don't believe in photos they take their actions seriously in Bryan and go all the way and have sex with a child. Sadly this story is no suprise these people get so high on crack cocaine or pcp that they don't even care that it is a family member that they assault. The sex offender count just continues to rise in bryan with so many people on drugs it will only get worse i hope the city of bryan nothng but the best.
