Three men were arrested Saturday after stealing cell phones from a kiosk in the Post Oak Mall, authorities said.
College Station police said they responded to an alarm at the mall around 7:45 a.m.
The men left the mall in a vehicle and were seen pulling into a bank parking lot off Texas 6 by an off-duty officer working inside the bank.
Pedro Cortez, 44, of Dallas and Vicente Gonzalez, 23, and Jose Vasquez, 20, both of Houston, were found hiding separately in the area around the bank.
Nineteen cell phones worth about $5,000 were found in the vehicle.
All three men where charged with theft of property between $1,500 and $20,000, a state jail felony punishable by up to two years behind bars.
They were being held in the Brazos County Jail on Saturday without bail.
