Three men arrested on drug charges

Eagle Staff Report

Three men in their 20s were arrested Friday on felony charges of marijuana possession after police served a search warrant on the home of a Bryan man.

Five other people who were at the home when the warrant was served were arrested on misdemeanor drug possession charges.

A search of 21-year-old Carl William Magaro's apartment in the 3800 block of Wellborn Road led police to find 18.73 ounces of marijuana. Magaro, Joshua Mark Felts, 24, and Troy Stewart Zachary, 21, were in the living room when police arrived and all were charged with possession, a state jail felony charge punishable by up to two years behind bars.

Magaro and Zachary were released from jail Friday after posting $5,000 bail. Felts remained jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.
