College Station residents are invited Wednesday to attend the first of three public forums seeking feedback about the school district's rezoning plans.
School officials last week presented what the new attendance zones would look like. The new boundaries will take effect in August 2011 for elementary schools, and August 2012 for secondary schools.
After collecting input from the public meetings, College Station school board members will make necessary adjustments to zoning recommendations before approving plans in October, officials said.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the A&M Consolidated High School Auditorium. The remaining meetings are scheduled for Sept. 14 and Sept. 16 at the same time and location.
