The Normangee Independent School District will hold a dedication ceremony Saturday for its new multipurpose facility.
The public is invited to the noon celebration in the building, which houses a gymnasium, middle school classrooms, a science lab and the high school's library and computer lab.
Students have begun using the facility, and basketball games are being played in the gym.
The building is named after the late Curtis Kizzee, who was the first black principal in the Normangee school district. He served as a teacher, coach and principal at Normangee High School from 1967 until his retirement in 1979.
