4-overtime game sets several NCAA records

ABILENE -- The Abilene Christian women's basketball team defeated Texas Woman's University 147-143 in four overtimes on Monday night in a game that set several NCAA and Lone Star Conference records.

The 290 combined points was an NCAA record and TWU's 143 points was an NCAA record for most points in a losing effort. ACU's 58 overtime points also set an NCAA record, and the 112 combined points scored in overtime periods was an NCAA record.

TWU's Renee Renz scored an LSC-record 63 points.

ACU's leading scorer, Audrey Maxwell-Lively, fouled out in the first overtime, but Jamie Meyer scored 26 of her ACU school-record 49 points in overtime.

ACU also broke the LSC and school record for field goal attempts at 112
