AUSTIN (AP) -- Here is the weekly fishing report as compiled for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for July 16. (Report also available on Web as www.txfishing.com.)
CENTRAL
BASTROP: Water clear. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on frozen shrimp and minnows. Yellow catfish are slow.
BELTON: Water clear; 83 degrees; 0.86' low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are fair trolling Rat-L-Traps. White bass are fair on minnows under lights at night in 25 feet. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on hot dogs and summer sausage. Yellow catfish are slow.
BROWNWOOD: Water clear; 84 degrees; 3.48' low. Black bass to 5 pounds are good on Bass Hogg spinnerbaits near the docks, and on redbug Grande Bass worms and watermelon red Berkley saber tails around docks and brush piles in 12-15 feet. Hybrid striper to 4 pounds are good trolling or drifting shad in Hybrid Alley and around docks at night. White bass are excellent on Li'l Fishies and Persuader crankbaits off lighted docks at night. Crappie are good on minnows and Li'l Fishies in 10-18 feet. Channel catfish to 3 pounds are good on trotlines baited with cut bait and chicken livers in 12-20 feet. Yellow catfish to 12 pounds are good on trotlines baited with cut bait and chicken livers.
BUCHANAN: Water clear; 83 degrees; 5.16' low. Black bass are fair to good on flukes, white buzzbaits, Chug Bugs, and Texas rigged 5" watermelon candy Whacky Sticks in Morgan and Silver Creeks in 48 feet at first light. Striped bass to 26" are good on Rat-L-Traps, Rattlin' Rogues, and plastic swim baits in Silver Creek below the bridge. White bass are fair on Tiny Traps and 24" plastic swim baits in clear water creeks. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are good on liver, minnows, and dipbait. Yellow and blue catfish are very good on goldfish and perch upriver.
CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 82 degrees; 4.14' low. Black bass are fair on topwaters, watermelon candy flukes, and Whacky Sticks among flooded bushes and along grassy banks early. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Smallmouth bass are fair on JDC grubs, Gambler Crickets, and white crankbaits in 10-21 feet early. Crappie are fair on minnows and Curb's jigs in standing timber. Channel catfish are fair. Yellow and blue catfish are good on goldfish and perch upriver.
COLEMAN: Water clear; 84 degrees; 3.07' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon red and chartreuse spinnerbaits and soft plastic worms. Hybrid striper are fair on live bait. Crappie are fair on minnows in 15-25 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.
COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) Water stained. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Catfish are excellent on trotlines baited with perch, and from the bank on rod and reel baited with perch.
FAYETTE: Water clear; 95 degrees. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits early and late. Channel and blue catfish are good on Black Saltys and cut shad over baited holes in the trees.
GRANBURY: Water clear; 1.37' low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on minnows and silver spoons. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, chicken livers, and frozen shrimp.
GRANGER: Water clear; 84 degrees; 0.58' low. Black bass to 6 pounds are fair on Carolina rigged soft plastic worms and jigs. White bass are good trolling Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. Crappie are good on yellow marabou jigs in 615 feet. Blue catfish are good drifting shad across main lake flats. Yellow catfish are slow.
LBJ: Water stained; 83 degrees; 0.34' low. Black bass are fair on black/blue, oil Berkley Power worms, watermelon topwaters, and watermelon red Whacky Sticks in 5-12 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and watermelon jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on minnows and stinkbait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch.
NAVARRO MILLS: Water murky; 84 degrees; 0.57' low. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
PROCTOR: Water stained; 88 degrees; 2.10' low. Black bass to 10 pounds are good on crankbaits. Striped bass are good on live shad. White bass are good on live shad. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines and juglines baited with cut shad. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.
SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 83 degrees; 0.99' low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on dead shad, live minnows, and nightcrawlers in the weeds in 2 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.
STILLHOUSE: Water clear; 85 degrees; 0.75' low. Black bass are good on minnows. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on hot dogs and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
TRAVIS: Water clear; 84 degrees; 14.84' low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on frozen shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
WALTER E. LONG: Water clear; 89 degrees. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

NORTHEAST
ATHENS: Water stained, 81-88 degrees; 0.1' low. Black bass are good on Zell Pops and buzzbaits early, later switching to chatterbaits, weightless flukes and Texas rigs night fishing is good on black spinnerbaits and blue fleck soft plastics. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows over brush piles. Catfish are good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.
BOB SANDLIN: Water off color; 80-88 degrees; 0.22' high. Black bass are fair to good on Stanley Ribbits early, later switching to Senkos, Texas rigs and wacky rigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over brush piles and around bridge columns. White bass are fair to good on topwaters and Humdingers. Catfish are good on prepared bait.
BRIDGEPORT: Water lightly stained; 80-85 degrees; 1.46' low. Black bass are good on buzzbaits early, later switching to finesse Texas rigs and shaky head rigs. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows over brush piles and around bridge columns. White bass and hybrids are good on Storm WildEyes, Humdingers and topwaters. No reports on hybrid striper.
CADDO: Water stained; 82-88 degrees; 0.19' low. Black bass are good on topwaters early, later switching to flukes, Rat-L-Traps, Senkos and Texas rigs. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows and jigs. White bass are good on white Road Runners and minnows. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait and nightcrawlers.
CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 81-87 degrees; 0.37' low. Black bass are good on Ribbits early, later switching to Texas rigs, Senkos and spinnerbaits (pitching spinnerbaits to docks has been productive). White bass are good on Humdingers and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on swim baits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. Catfish are good on prepared bait.
COOPER: Water lightly stained; 80-87 degrees; 0.38' low. Black bass are good on topwaters early, later switching to drop shot rigs, Carolina- and Texas rigs and Senkos. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows over brush piles. White bass are good on Rooster Tails and Little Georges. Hybrid striper are good on Sassy Shad and live shad. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
FAIRFIELD: Water fairly clear; 82-89 degrees. No report available.
FORK: Water lightly stained; 81-87 degrees; 0.46' high. Black bass are good on Zell Pops and soft plastic frogs early and late, midmorning switching to DD22s, drop shot rigs and Carolina rigs night fishing has also been very good. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows around the bridges and over brush piles. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
GRAPEVINE: Water off color; 81-88 degrees; 0.95' low. Black bass are good on crankbaits, Texas rigs and wacky rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on Rooster Tails, topwaters and Humdingers. Catfish are good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.
JOE POOL: Water off color; 81-87 degrees; 0.44' low. Black bass are good on topwaters early, later switching to Texas rigs and crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. White bass are good on Humdingers. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait and cut shad.
LAKE O' THE PINES: Water stained; 81-88 degrees; 1.63' high. Black bass are fair to good on Yellow Magics and Ribbit Frogs early, later switching to Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows over brush piles. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
LAVON: Water stained; 80-88 degrees; 1.1' low. Black bass are good on crankbaits, Senkos and Texas rigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs moving to deeper water. Catfish are good on cut shad and prepared bait.
LEWISVILLE: Water off color; 81-87 degrees; 0.89' low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around the bridges. White bass are good on Humdingers and Rooster Tails. Hybrid striper are fair on Humdingers and large Rooster Tails. Catfish are good on prepared bait and cut shad.
MARTIN CREEK: 1.36' low. No report available.
MONTICELLO: Water fairly clear; 81-89 degrees; 0.2' high. Black bass are good on topwaters early, later switching to Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and chrome Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait.
PALESTINE: Water stained; 82-88 degrees; 0.06' high. Black bass are fair to good on spinnerbaits, Texas rigs and pearl shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. Hybrid striper are white bass are fair to good on topwaters and Humdingers. Catfish are fair on cut shad.
RAY HUBBARD: Water stained; 81-88 degrees; 0.44' low. Black bass are fair to good on medium running crankbaits, white/chartreuse spinnerbaits, Carolina rigs and Texas rigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around the bridges and in the marinas. White bass are excellent on topwaters and Humdingers. Hybrid striper are fair to good on Humdingers and Sassy Shad. Catfish are fair to good on cut and prepared bait.
RAY ROBERTS: Water clear; 82-88 degrees; 0.39' low. Black bass to 9.7 pounds are very good on Zell Pops and Carolina rigged LFT Ring Frys in 1020 feet. Crappie are good over brush piles and excellent around isolated trees on minnows and jigs. White bass are good to excellent on CC Jigging Spoons surface schooling starting to occur regularly. No reports on catfish.
RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water off color; 82-87 degrees; 1.05' low. Black bass are fair to good on topwaters early, later switching to wacky rigged trick worms, Texas rigs and spinnerbaits. White bass are good on Humdingers. Hybrid striper are fair to good on Sassy Shad and live shad. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.
TAWAKONI: Water lightly stained; 82-88 degrees; 0.29' low. Black bass are good on buzzbaits and Zell Pops early, later switching to Texas rigged Baby Fork Creatures, white spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and Senkos. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on Humdingers and minnows. Striped bass and hybrid striper are fair on live shad. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
TEXOMA: Water off color; 80-87 degrees; 0.89' low. Black bass are fair to good on topwater plugs early, later switching to jigs, drop shot rigs, spinnerbaits and Carolina rigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over brush piles and around bridge columns. Striped bass are good on live shad and topwaters. Catfish are good on cut and live shad.
WEATHERFORD: Water stained; 80-87 degrees; 1.55' low. Black bass are fair to good on Zell Pops, spinnerbaits and shaky head rigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on live or dead shad and nightcrawlers. White bass are good on Humdingers and minnows.
WRIGHT PATMAN: Water lightly stained; 80-88 degrees; 7.23' high. Black bass are good on topwaters early, later switching to medium diving crankbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared baits.
SOUTH
AMISTAD: Water stained; 85 degrees; 17.32' low. Black bass are good on Senkos, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics. Striped bass are fair on shad and watermelon topwaters. White bass are fair on chartreuse topwaters and spinnerbaits. Catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and frozen shrimp over baited holes. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch. Mexican fishing licenses are required to fish Mexican waters. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexican fishing license whether fishing or not. Mexican boat permits are no longer required.
BRAUNIG: Water stained; 83 degrees. Black bass are fair on crankbaits and dark soft plastic worms in reeds and near the jetty and dam. Striped bass are good on liver and shad off points near the pier, and down rigging silver and gold spoons near the jetty and dam. Redfish are excellent on perch, tilapia, shad, and silver spoons, and down rigging near the jetty and dam. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cut bait, and cheesebait near the dam and the hot water discharge.
CALAVERAS: Water stained; 83 degrees. Black bass are fair on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits over reed beds and near the dam. Striped bass are good on spoons and striper jigs between the dam and the crappie wall in 1520 feet, and on chicken livers and shad along the shoreline. Redfish are excellent down rigging silver and gold spoons and live bait along the crappie wall and the dam in 1020 feet, on live perch and tilapia along the shoreline, and on live bait along the crappie wall. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on liver, cheesebait, shrimp, and shad near the railroad trestle and 181 Cove. Blue catfish are excellent on liver and cheesebait. Yellow catfish are slow.
CHOKE CANYON: Water lightly stained; 92 degrees; 2.75' low. Black bass are fair on small white/chartreuse spinnerbaits, shallow running crankbaits, and pumpkin Whacky Sticks with chartreuse tails along main lake points in 2-6 feet early. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are very good on live bait in 4-15 feet. Yellow and blue catfish are very good on live bait upriver.
COLETO CREEK: Water clear; 88 degrees (96 degrees at discharge); 2.60' low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish to 6 pounds are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.
FALCON: Water clear in the south end, lightly stained in the north end; 83 degrees. Black bass are good on Brush Hogs and shallow running crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 2 pounds are excellent on stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. Mexican fishing licenses are required to fish Mexican waters. SOUTHEAST
CONROE: Water clear; 0.80' low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse and watermelon Carolina rigged soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Catfish are good on stinkbait, chicken livers, and shrimp.
GIBBONS CREEK: Water clear. Black bass are fair on chartreuse soft plastic worms and watermelon/white crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and cut bait.
HOUSTON COUNTY: Water clear; 88 degrees; 0.01' high. Black bass to 7 pounds are good on watermelon red worms near the marina in 6 feet. Crappie are good on live minnows near the pump station in 15 feet. White bass are good along the northeast shore. Bream are good on live worms off piers and near grass beds, and on the south side of the islands. Channel and blue catfish to 8 pounds are good on trotlines baited with shad.
LIVINGSTON: Water fairly clear; 85 degrees; 0.08' high. Black bass are good on soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on hellbenders, pet spoons, and Charlie slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Blue catfish are good on shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
SAM RAYBURN: Water lightly stained; 83 degrees; 2.45' low. Black bass are good on minnows and dark soft plastic worms. White bass are fair on silver and gold spoons. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs over baited holes in 2025 feet. Bream are fair on nightcrawlers. Catfish are very good on trotlines baited with live bait and cut bait.
STEINHAGEN: 1.57' high. No report available.
TOLEDO BEND: Water clear; 82 degrees; 1.31' low. Black bass are fair on redbug soft plastic worms. Striped bass are fair on minnows and silver striper jigs. White bass are good on spoons in the river. Crappie are fair on minnows at night. Bream are good on crickets and nightcrawlers. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait, stinkbait, livers, and hearts in 30 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.
PANHANDLE
GREENBELT: Water lightly stained; 76 degrees; 26.23' low. Black bass are good on topwater lures, white spinnerbaits, and black/blue jigs worked around tree and grass lines. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on live baits and crawfish colored crankbaits along riprap. Smallmouth bass are good on live baits, white spinnerbaits or crankbaits along riprap. Walleye are good on live baits. Catfish are good on live baits and chicken liver.
MACKENZIE: Water lightly stained; 77 degrees; 74.78' low. Black bass are fair on live baits, shad-colored spinnerbaits, and watermelon red soft plastics. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass and striped bass are good on minnows and shallow diving crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are fair on live bait. Walleye are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on live baits.
MEREDITH: Water lightly stained; 76 degrees; 77.24' low. Black bass are fair on topwater lures, white spinnerbaits, and black/blue jigs along rocky points, and tree and grass lines. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on live bait and shad-colored crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are fair on shad-colored spinnerbaits and live baits. Walleye are fair on live baits and shallow crankbaits along riprap. Channel catfish are good on chicken liver. Note: Boat launching is limited due to low water conditions.
PALO DURO: Water lightly stained; 76 degrees; 58.21' low. Black bass are fair on live baits and dark jigs. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Smallmouth bass are fair on live baits. Walleye are fair on live baits. Channel catfish are good on prepared baits.
WEST
ALAN HENRY: Water lightly stained; 79 degrees; .74' low. Black bass are good on white buzzbaits and white spinnerbaits with blue highlights, and black/chartreuse jigs along timber lines. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs.
ARROWHEAD: Water lightly stained; 82 degrees; 3.90' low. Black bass are good on topwater frog baits in surface vegetation and spinnerbaits along rocky points. Crappie are fair under east side bridges and off the derricks. White bass are good shallow while chasing shad. Catfish are good on juglines and drift fishing with shad or punch bait.
COLORADO CITY: Water clear; 78 degrees; 6.72' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Catfish are slow.
FT. PHANTOM HILL: Water clear; 78 degrees; 0.52' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on live baits. Catfish are fair on live baits.
HUBBARD CREEK: Water lightly stained; 79 degrees; 1.22' low. Black bass are fair on minnows, shad-colored crankbaits and spinnerbaits along grass lines, and black neon soft plastics worked along reeds and timber. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass and hybrid stripers are good on live baits along rocky points. Catfish are good on live and cut baits.
NASWORTHY: Water lightly stained; 77 degrees. Black bass are fair. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Redfish are fair on live baits. White bass and striped bass are fair on live baits. Catfish are fair on live baits.
OAK CREEK: Water lightly stained; 79 degrees; 1.17' low. Black bass are fair. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on live baits. O.H. IVIE: Water lightly stained; 79 degrees; 11.21' low. Black bass are fair on topwater lures, shad-colored spinnerbaits, and white soft jerkbaits worked along tree lines. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on live baits and crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are good on live baits and shad-colored crankbaits along points. Channel catfish are good on live baits.
POSSUM KINGDOM: Water stained; 84 degrees; 1.32' low. Black bass are slow on watermelon Senkos and deep-running shad-colored crankbaits along points and rock ledges in the south end of the reservoir. Crappie are poor on small jigs worked along deep wood structures in the Caddo Creek area. White bass are good on silver crankbaits and small white jigs in the mid-lake area early in the day and at night. Catfish are good on cut baits and liver along the river channel in the Rock Creek area.
SPENCE: Water lightly stained; 78 degrees; 50.65' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Striped bass and hybrid striper are slow. Catfish are slow.
STAMFORD: Water lightly stained; 75 degrees; 1.77' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White and striped bass are fair on live baits. Catfish are fair on live and prepared baits.
SWEETWATER: Water lightly stained; 80 degrees; 1.24' low. Black bass are slow on live baits. Crappie are slow on live baits and jigs. White bass are slow. Catfish are slow on live baits.
WHITE RIVER: Water lightly stained; 78 degrees; 27.99' low. Black bass are fair on black/blue jigs, white spinnerbaits or live baits along grass lines and stickups. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. Walleye are fair on live baits. Channel catfish are fair on live baits.
WICHITA: Water turbid; 83 degrees; 1.15' low. Crappie are slow near pavilion pilings and off dam. White bass and hybrid striped bass are fair on minnows or live shad in front of the spillway area. Channel catfish are fair drift fishing with shad and on trotlines. Boat launching is difficult due to low water conditions.
COASTAL
NORTH SABINE: Redfish are good in the marsh on small topwaters and in the river on live shad. Trout are good while drifting slicks and pods of bait on topwaters and soft plastics in the middle of the lake.
SOUTH SABINE: Trout are good on the Reef on soft plastics and live shrimp. Trout are good under diving gulls on soft plastics. Trout are good at the jetty on live shrimp and topwaters.
BOLIVAR: Redfish are good around Rollover Pass on croakers and live shrimp. Trout are fair around Rollover on DOA Shrimp and Little Fishies.
TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair around the east shoreline shell on red shad plastics and topwaters. Redfish are good in the grass on the north shoreline on gold spoons.
EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are best while drifting deep shell on plastics and croakers. Redfish are fair to good at the mouths of the marsh on live shrimp.
WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair off the spoil banks on croaker. Deep shell has produced most fish on live bait. Gafftop, sand trout, trout, redfish, sharks and whiting are good from the beachfront piers on live bait.
TEXAS CITY: Trout are good at night under the lights on live shrimp and DOA Shrimp. Trout are good for waders working the reefs on croakers and live shrimp.
FREEPORT: Trout are fair to good while drifting Christmas Bay on live shrimp. Trout, sand trout, gafftop and sharks are good at San Luis Pass on live bait.
EAST MATAGORDA: Trout are fair to good while drifting deep shell on live shrimp. West winds have hurt the water clarity.
MATAGORDA: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline grass beds on Bass Assassins, Sand Eel Jrs. and Trout Killers. Redfish and black drum are fair on live shrimp in Oyster Lake.
PORT O'CONNOR: Trout are fair at the Cedars on croakers and soft plastics. Trout are fair while drifting the flats on live shrimp under a popping cork. Redfish and sharks are good on live shrimp and mullet at the jetty and in the surf.
ROCKPORT: Trout are good on the reefs in St. Charles Bay, Mesquite Bay and Copano Bay on croakers. Redfish are fair to good on mullet and piggy perch around Hog Island.
PORT ARANSAS: Trout are good at the jetty on croakers and finger mullet. Redfish are good around Shamrock Cove on gold spoons and small topwaters. Offshore is good for snapper, ling and kingfish. Longer trips have produced tuna.
CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are good on the grass beds adjacent to the channel on piggy perch and live shrimp. Trout and redfish are fair to good on live shrimp and croaker around the reefs in Nueces Bay. Redfish are good in Emmords Hole on shrimp and perch.
BAFFIN BAY: Redfish are fair to good while drifting Yarborough on live shrimp and topwaters.Trout are good on the grass beds in the Land Cut on croakers, soft plastics, Gulps and DOA Shrimp.
PORT MANSFIELD: Trout and redfish are good while wading and drifting the flats on shrimp and small topwaters. A few tarpon have been showing off the beach. Offshore is good for red snapper, ling and kingfish.
SOUTH PADRE: Trout are good on topwaters and soft plastics on the edge of the grass. A few tarpon and snook are showing at the jetty. Snook are fair to good on topwaters in South Bay and at the jetty. Trout and Spanish mackerel are good at the jetty on live bait.
PORT ISABEL: Trout are good while drifting sand and grass on soft plastics under rattling corks. Trout are hanging on the edge of the channel and hitting topwaters, YUM baits and DOA Shrimp. Snook are good at the mouths of freshwater drains.
