Atkinson Toyota Fishing Report

AROUND THE STATE

AUSTIN (AP) -- Here is the weekly fishing report as compiled for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for Jan. 7. (Report also available on Web as www.txfishing.com.)

CENTRAL

BASTROP: Water lightly stained. Black bass are fair on pumpkinseed crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue/white tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water clear; 60 degrees; 2.65' low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are good on live shad. White bass are fair on minnows in 25 feet. Crappie are good on minnows at night. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with frozen shad. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 51 degrees; 4.91' low. Black bass are good on chartreuse jigs, crankbaits, and watermelon/gold 4" worms in 1025 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on Li'l Fishies and minnows over brush piles in 1025 feet. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait, minnows and frozen shrimp in 1020 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

BUCHANAN: Water clear; 60 degrees; 15.58' low. Black bass are fair on blue flake Scoundrel worms on shaky head jigs, watermelon red JDC curl tail grubs on jigheads, and drop shot worms along ledges and docks inside secondary points in 1225 feet. Striped bass are good drifting live shad, jigging Spoiler Shad swim baits, and on Pirk Minnows from Garrett to Shaw Island in 28 feet. White bass are slow to fair jigging Tiny Traps, Curb's crappie jigs, and blade baits along main lake points and creek bluffs in 1525 feet. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 59 degrees; 11.11' low. Black bass to 4.5 pounds are very good on Texas rigged red shad JDC drop shot worms, watermelon/red Brush Hogs, and tubes on jigheads in stickups and along bluffs in 1015 feet. Striped bass are fair jigging Pirk Minnows and trolling Gizz 4's and Shad Raps on down riggers in the lower end of the lake over humps in 4060 feet. White bass are fair and small on blade baits along main lake bluffs. Smallmouth bass to 4 pounds are very good on tomato red and smoke/red flake JDC tubes on jigheads, and smoke drop shot worms along main lake points and bluffs. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

COLEMAN: Water clear; 60 degrees; 5.74' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon and dark red soft plastics, Rat-L-Traps, and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on minnows. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and frozen shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) Water clear. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are slow. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers, stinkbait, and shrimp in deep holes.

FAYETTE: Water clear; 61 degrees. Black bass are slow to fair on Carolina rigged soft plastics in 1525 feet on points. Channel and blue catfish are slow.

GRANBURY: Water clear; 2.30' low. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on frozen shrimp and stinkbait.

GRANGER: Water murky; 50 degrees; 3.52' low. Black bass are slow. White bass are fair upriver among shad. Crappie are fair on jigs along deep channels among baitfish. Blue catfish are good on shad and prepared baits. Yellow catfish are slow.

LBJ: Water stained; 60 degrees; 0.10' low. Black bass are fair to good on black/blue Curb's jigs and green pumpkin tubes on docks. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair to good on silver Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads in the channel near the power plant. Crappie are fair on minnows in brush piles under heated docks. Channel catfish are fair on minnows and nightcrawlers. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water murky; 50 degrees; 2.89' low. Black bass are good on slabs near the dam. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows near the dam in brush piles in 810 feet. Channel and blue catfish to 15 pounds are fair on shrimp and cheesebait near the dam. Yellow catfish are slow.

PROCTOR: Water stained; 62 degrees; 4.64' low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits and soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on frozen shad and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

SOMERVILLE: Water fairly clear; 2.90' low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and green and black tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on bloodbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE: Water clear; 60 degrees; 4.77' low. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS: Water clear; 57 degrees; 25.49' low. Black bass to 4 pounds are fair on brown jigs, green pumpkin worms, and smoke grubs in 2840 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on silver jigging spoons and white grubs in 28 45 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs in 2545 feet. Channel and blue catfish to 21 pounds are fair on minnows and fresh cut bait in 3248 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG: Water stained; 61 degrees. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on nightcrawlers and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

WHITNEY: Water clear; 9.67' low. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Striped bass are fair on minnows and white striper jigs. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on frozen shrimp, liver, and stinkbait.

NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water lightly stained, 48-53 degrees; 0.56' low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits, white spinnerbaits and black/blue jig with matching trailers. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

BOB SANDLIN: Water fairly clear; 47-54 degrees; 0.37' low. Black bass are fair on chrome jigging spoons, wacky rigs and Texas rigged blue fleck worms. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers. White bass are fair on live minnows and slabs.

BRIDGEPORT: Water fairly clear; 47-52 degrees; 7.76' low. Black bass are fair on shad pattern crankbaits, Rat-L-Traps and 4" Yum Dingers. White bass and hybrid striper are fair on slabs and live bait. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait.

CADDO: Water off color; 48-54 degrees; 0.55' high. Black bass are good on jigs, chrome Rat-L-Traps and flukes fished around vegetation and trees. Crappie are fair on red/white or red/green jigs in Big Cypress channel near Johnson's Ranch. No reports on white bass or catfish.

CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 48-54 degrees; 2.33' low. Black bass are fair Rat-L-Traps, Carolina rigs and white/chartreuse spinnerbaits. White bass are fair on slabs. Hybrid striper are slow on slabs and live shad. Crappie are fair minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad and nightcrawlers.

COOPER: Water lightly stained; 47-53 degrees; 6.16' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged blue fleck worms, drop shot rigs and slow-rolled spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows over brush piles. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair to good on slabs and live shad. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

FAIRFIELD: Water fairly clear; 76-88 degrees. No report available.

FORK: Water lightly stained; 48-54 degrees; 0.81' low. Black bass are fair on black/blue jigs around wood in the mouths of coves and white/chartreuse spinnerbaits along main lake grass lines. Crappie are fair on minnows and small jigs under main lake bridges and around brush piles. Catfish are good on prepared bait along creeks.

GRAPEVINE: Water off color; 48-53 degrees; 7.16' low. Black bass are fair on jigs, Texas rigs, crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

JOE POOL: Water off color; 48-53 degrees; 2.54' low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and Texas rigged 7" purple worms. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on live minnows and slabs. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

LAKE O' THE PINES: Water stained; 47-53 degrees; 0.51' high. Black bass are slow to fair on Texas rigs, weightless flukes or 5" Yum Dingers and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut shad. Bream are fair on red wigglers.

LAVON: Water stained; 48-54 degrees; 4.43' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and shallow running crankbaits. White bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs around bridge columns. Catfish are fair to good on cut shad and nightcrawlers.

LEWISVILLE: Water off color; 47-53 degrees; 3.92' low. Black bass are slow on pumpkin tubes pitched to standing timber and shad pattern crankbaits along the old dam riprap. White bass are fair on slabs in 1525 feet. Catfish are good on cut shad under trees where cormorants are roosting.

MARTIN CREEK: 3.05' low. No report available.

MONTICELLO: Water fairly clear; 75-88 degrees; 0.3' low. Black bass are fair to good on topwaters early, later switching to weightless flukes, Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and chrome Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait.

PALESTINE: Water lightly stained; 47-53 degrees; 0.23' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, jigs and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait. Bream are fair on worms. Hybrid striper and white bass are fair to good on slabs.

RAY HUBBARD: Water off color; 46-53 degrees; 1.34' low. Black bass are slow on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and Texas rigged worms. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs at the fishing barges and around bridge columns. White bass are fair to good on white or chartreuse slabs and Humdingers. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.

RAY ROBERTS: Water murky; 46-50 degrees; 1.34' low. Black bass are slow on Booyah jigs and XCalibur suspending jerkbaits. Crappie are good on 1/16 oz. jigs and Road Runners walking the creek banks. White bass are excellent on CC Jigging Spoons (worked slow or dead sticking). No reports on catfish.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water off color; 46-52 degrees; 4.39' low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged watermelon worms in the creek channels and off secondary points, and on black/blue jigs or Texas rigs around docks. White bass and hybrid striper are good on white/chartreuse and chartreuse slabs on main lake humps and secondary points. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around deep-water trees. Catfish are good on juglines with live perch set off the main creek channels and flats.

TAWAKONI: Water lightly stained; 47-53 degrees; 4.75' low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, jigs and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs. Striped bass and hybrid striper are fair on live shad and slabs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.

TEXOMA: Water off color; 46-52 degrees; 0.55' low. Black bass are fair on chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, crankbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Striped bass are fair to good on live shad and Storm WildEyes. Catfish are fair to good on chartreuse (use Worm-Glo) nightcrawlers and cut shad.

WEATHERFORD: Water lightly stained; 47-52 degrees; 5.96' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, chatterbaits and wacky rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs in the crappie house. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

WRIGHT PATMAN: Water lightly stained; 48-54 degrees; 3.96' high. Black bass are fair flukes, Texas rigs and slow rolled spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait and cut shad.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water clear; 58 degrees; 1.53' high. Black bass are good on slabs, crankbaits, and soft plastic worms. Striped bass are fair on slabs, crankbaits, and grubs. White bass are fair on slabs and crankbaits. Catfish are fair on shrimp, nightcrawlers, chicken livers, and cheesebait in 6090 feet. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines and droplines baited with live perch. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG: Water stained; 62 degrees. Black bass are good on crankbaits and dark soft plastic worms in the reeds and near the jetty and dam. Striped bass are excellent on liver and shad at Dead Tree Point, and down rigging silver and gold spoons and marble spinners near the dam. Redfish are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cheesebait, and cut bait near the spillway and the intake. Blue catfish are good on cut bait.

CALAVERAS: Water stained; 62 degrees. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits around reed beds and near the dam. Striped bass are slow. Redfish are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, and cheesebait near the railroad trestle and 181 Cove. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water lightly stained; 62 degrees; 5.29' low. Black bass are good on heavy jigs and large soft plastic lizards in the grass, and fair on crankbaits. White bass are fair on minnows upriver. Crappie are slow. Drum are fair on live worms. Channel and blue catfish are good on punchbait in 27 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLETO CREEK: Water clear; 74 degrees (81 degrees at discharge); 3.55' low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows in 1016 feet. Channel and blue catfish to 6 pounds are fair on trotlines baited with liver and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish to 13 pounds are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

FALCON: Water lightly stained; 59 degrees. Black bass are slow (but slightly improving) on spinnerbaits shallow and Texas or Carolina rigs and jigs in 15-35 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water murky; 1.07' low. Black bass are fair on tequila sunrise and pumpkinseed soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits in 1525 feet. Striped bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on stinkbait, nightcrawlers, and frozen shrimp.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water clear. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on frozen shrimp and liver.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 53 degrees; 0.64' high. Black bass to 3 pounds are good on black/purple glitter Brush Hogs near stumps in 1015 feet, and on spinnerbaits off sandy flats in 510 feet. Crappie are good on minnows near the dam in 1518 feet. Bream are fair on live worms near grass beds. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and stinkbait.

LIVINGSTON: Water fairly clear; 58 degrees; 0.18' high. Black bass are fair to good on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Striped bass to 6 pounds are fair on Rat-L-Traps and Charlie slabs. White bass are slow. Crappie are very good on minnows. Blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water lightly stained; 62 degrees; 6.79' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. White bass are fair on live minnows and white tube jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Bream are fair on worms. Catfish are good on frozen shrimp and nightcrawlers.

STEINHAGEN: 0.38' high. No report available.

TOLEDO BEND: Water clear; 61 degrees; 3.76' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon red soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Bream are fair on worms. Channel and blue catfish are good on liver, frozen shrimp, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

PANHANDLE

GREENBELT: Water stained; 40 degrees; 28.46' low. Black bass are slow on black neon jigs or live bait suspended in trees and on shad-colored crankbaits along secondary points and creek channels. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are fair on live bait and silver crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are fair on live bait. Walleye are fair on live bait and crankbaits. Catfish are fair on cut and prepared bait.

MACKENZIE: Water lightly stained; 42 degrees; 76.58' low. Black bass are slow on live baits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass and striped bass are fair on minnows. Smallmouth bass are slow on live baits. Walleye are fair on minnows and crankbaits. Catfish are fair on live baits.

MEREDITH: Water stained; 40 degrees; 73.94' low. Black bass are slow on shad-colored crankbaits and slow-rolled spinnerbaits and on minnows along secondary points and rocky humps. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are fair on live baits and silver crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are slow on live baits. Walleye are fair on live baits. Channel catfish are fair on cut baits.

PALO DURO: Water stained; 37 degrees; 52.57' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Smallmouth bass are slow. Walleye are fair on live baits. Channel catfish are fair on minnows and prepared baits.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: Water lightly stained; 50 degrees; 0.19' low. Black bass are fair on shad-colored chatterbaits, black/blue jigs or minnows suspended in trees. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on live and cut baits.

ARROWHEAD: Water lightly stained; 46 degrees; 6.23' low. Black bass are fair on shallow-running crankbaits or chatterbaits off secondary points. Crappie are fair on jigs fished deep off the derricks and at the State Park. White bass are fair trolling. Blue Catfish are fair on juglines baited with cut shad or cheese bait on flats at 10-14 feet depth.

COLORADO CITY: Water clear; 49 degrees; 6.31' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Catfish are slow.

FT. PHANTOM HILL: Water clear; 50 degrees; 0.59' low. Black bass are slow on live baits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair. Catfish are fair on prepared baits.

HUBBARD CREEK: Water lightly stained; 49 degrees; 2.68' low. Black bass are fair on slow-rolled white spinnerbaits along secondary points and through deeper timber. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass and hybrid striper are fair on live baits and crankbaits. Catfish are good on live baits.

NASWORTHY: Water lightly stained; 50 degrees. Black bass are slow on live baits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Redfish are fair. White bass and striped bass are fair. Catfish are fair on live baits.

OAK CREEK: Water lightly stained; 46 degrees; 2.88' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on shad.

O.H. IVIE: Water lightly stained; 50 degrees; 12.00' low. Black bass are fair on shad-colored crankbaits worked along secondary points, and live baits along channels and drop-offs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on live baits and shad-colored crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are fair on live baits. Channel catfish are good on live and prepared baits.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water stained; 54 degrees; 2.49' low. Black bass are fair on brown and red jigs along creek channels bends and main lake points in 15-22 feet depth. Crappie are fair on small white jigs and minnows worked along wood structures. White bass are fair on silver spoons and slabs along the river channel in 20-30 feet depth on the North end of the lake. Catfish are good on live shad, cut baits and liver in the Rock Creek area.

SPENCE: Water lightly stained; 51 degrees; 50.72' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Striped bass and hybrid striper are slow. Catfish are slow.

STAMFORD: Water lightly stained; 50 degrees; 2.23' low. Black bass are fair on live baits along secondary points. Crappie are fair on live baits and jigs. White and striped bass are fair on live baits. Catfish are fair on shad and minnows.

SWEETWATER: Water lightly stained; 51 degrees; 1.23' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on live baits. Catfish are fair on live baits.

WHITE RIVER: Water lightly stained; 45 degrees; 28.83' low. Black bass are fair on minnows and slow-rolled white spinnerbaits or chatterbaits in and along deeper timber. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. Walleye are fair on live bait. Channel catfish are fair on shad.

WICHITA: Water lightly stained; 45 degrees; 0.88' low. Crappie are fair on minnows or live shad near the dam and pavilion poles. Hybrid striped bass and white bass are fair on minnows or live shad near the dam and pavilion poles. Channel catfish are fair drift fishing with shad or on trotlines.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good under the birds in the middle of the lake on soft plastics and topwaters. Trout and redfish are good in the river on shad. A few flounder are being caught on the Louisiana shoreline.

SOUTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good while drifting shell and pods of shad. Bull redfish are good at the jetty on crabs and shrimp.

BOLIVAR: Redfish and sand trout are good in Rollover Pass on natural baits. Flounder are fair to good on the shorelines on jigs tipped with shrimp.

TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair to good over shell and mud. Trout are fair to good while working slicks and pods of mullet. Redfish are fair to good around the spillway and in the marsh on natural baits.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good while drifting shell in 4-6 feet of water on soft plastics. Redfish are good in the cuts and sloughs leading to the marsh. Sand trout have been taken on the edge of the Intracoastal.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good while drifting shell and mud. Waders have taken better trout in the mud in the afternoon as the water warms.

TEXAS CITY: Sand trout and croaker have been taken on fresh shrimp around the rocks and in the holes. Redfish are fair to good in Moses Lake on mullet. The dike remains closed to traffic.

FREEPORT: Sand trout are good on fresh shrimp in the channels. Bull redfish are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs.

EAST MATAGORDA: Trout are fair to good while drifting over shell. Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on suspending bait. Best fish have come while drifting.

MATAGORDA: Trout are fair to good while drifting mud and shell on Gulps under popping corks. Redfish are fair on the south shoreline of West Bay in the guts and cuts on Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and Trout Killers.

PORT O'CONNOR: Trout are good over shell and mud in San Antonio Bay on soft plastics and live shrimp. Redfish are good in the back lakes. Trout are good for waders working the edge of the channels on soft plastics and shrimp.

ROCKPORT: Trout are fair to good over shell and mud for waders working topwaters and soft plastics in Copano Bay and Mesquite Bay. Trout are fair to good on the edge of the channel near Super Flats on soft plastics.

PORT ARANSAS: Bull redfish are good at the jetty and on the edge of the Intracoastal on crabs, finger mullet, cut-bait and fresh table shrimp. Whiting, sand trout and sheepshead are good around the rocks and on the edge of the channel on shrimp.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair to good in the deep holes surrounded by grass. Redfish are good on shrimp and Gulps on the edges of the spoils in the Intracoastal. Trout, redfish and sand trout are fair to good from the piers at night on live bait.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good for waders tossing Corkies around rocks and sand flats. Trout are fair to good under lights at night in the Land Cut on live shrimp and glow plastics.

PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are good around pods of bait on soft plastics and suspending baits. Quality trout have been taken in the pot holes. Redfish are good around East Cut on mullet and other natural baits.

SOUTH PADRE: Snook and mangrove snapper are good in the Brownsville Ship Channel on shrimp, Gulps and DOA Shrimp. Redfish are good at Laguna Vista and along the refuge shoreline on soft plastics.

PORT ISABEL: Trout are good around the Gas Well Flats and along the Intracoastal on DOA Shrimp. Redfish are good at the Pasture and on the flats on live bait and gold spoons.
