Bryan stays perfect in 13-5A play: HARKER HEIGHTS -- Tyler Grygar tossed a one-hitter, and the Bryan Vikings beat Harker Heights 8-0 on Friday night in District 13-5A action.
Grygar also had a home run and two RBIs.
Bryan (17-2-1, 5-0) will host Killeen Shoemaker at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Consol falls to Belton: The A&M Consolidated Tigers scored more runs than they had hits in a 8-4 loss to Belton on Friday night.
Consol managed just three hits but one was a two-run home run by Chase McDowell.
Consol (10-10, 3-2 in 13-5A) looks to bounce back at Waco Midway Saturday at 2 p.m.

GYMNASTICS
Bryan girls finish fourth in district meet: The Bryan girls gymnastics team placed fourth at the Region II District 2 Championships on Thursday.
A&M Consolidated won with Round Rock second and Alvin third.
Individually, Bryan's Katelyn Lowe placed in every event, taking seventh in the all-around and fourth on the vault. Teammate Jade Vasquez finished tenth in the all-around and ninth on the floor exercise.
Lowe and Vasquez will compete in the regional meet in Humble on April 9-10.
SOFTBALL
Consol takes share of district lead with win: Jessica Chastka threw a one-hitter to lead the A&M Consolidated softball team to an 11-0 victory over Harker Heights.
Consol (16-10, 6-1 in 13-5A) is tied with Belton for first place atop the District 13-5A standings.
Chastka (11-5) needed just 49 pitches to complete the five-inning game.
Consol catcher Sarah Allison and Kristen Moehlman each went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs.
Consol will host Temple at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Bryan falls on road to Belton: The Bryan softball team rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh but fell 8-3 to Belton on Friday night in District 13-5A action.
Belton scored five runs in the first three innings and held on for the victory.
Ashley Lara went 2 for 3 with two doubles and drove in a run for Bryan. Courtney Ford added a two-run single.
Bryan travels to Killeen Ellison next Tuesday at 7 p.m. Bryan's JV will compete in the Bryan-College Station tournament starting at 10 a.m. Saturday against Halletsville.

TENNIS
ITF Junior finals set for today at Miramount: California's Raymond Sarmiento will face Russia's Nikoloz Basilashvii in the boys final of the Tennis Express ITF Championships at 9 a.m. Saturday at Miramount Country Club.
New Jersey's Kristi Ahn will face Russia's Polina Vinagradova in the girls final at 9 a.m. Admission is free.
The tournament is an International Tennis Federation level 4 junior event and the first of three stops on the ITF Spring Circuit.
