No. 12 UCLA 83, Oregon 74: EUGENE, Ore. -- Darren Collison scored 22 points and Josh Shipp added a season-high 17 for the Bruins.
Tajuan Porter scored 24 points for the Ducks (6-8, 0-2 Pac-10), including 15 in the second half as Oregon pulled within three points after trailing by 11 at halftime.
But Collison and Shipp helped UCLA (12-2, 2-0) keep its lead.
Collison went 3 for 6 from the field and 7 for 7 from the free-throw line in the second half. Shipp missed only one 3-point attempt in making a season-high five shots from beyond the arc. He came into the game shooting 21.6 percent (8 for 37) from 3-point range this season.

California 81, No. 17 Arizona St. 71: BERKELEY, Calif. -- Jerome Randle converted a four-point play with 2:13 remaining, matched his career high with 26 points and had a career-best 10 assists for California (13-2, 2-0 Pac-10), which won its seventh straight.
Ty Abbott fouled Randle at the top of the arc on a long 3 after James Harden had pulled the Sun Devils within two points moments earlier.
Harden finished with 26 points and eight rebounds to lead Arizona State (12-2, 1-1 Pac-10), which had its eight-game winning streak snapped two days after a 30-point victory at Stanford to start the conference schedule. Harden missed consecutive 3s in the final 1:10.

No. 18 Louisville 74, Kentucky 71: LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Edgar Sosa hit a 25-footer with 2.8 seconds remaining to give the Cardinals the win over their archrival.
Sosa finished with 18 points, Terrence Williams had 19 points and eight rebounds and Jerry Smith scored 11 points for Louisville (9-3), which escaped a major meltdown in the final seconds to beat the Wildcats at Freedom Hall for the first time since 2002.
Jodie Meeks led Kentucky (11-4) with 28 points and Patrick Patterson had 22 points and 15 rebounds.
The Wildcats put together a brilliant rally to tie the game at 71 on two free throws by Meeks with 23 seconds left.
Sosa held the ball until 6 seconds remained, took two dribbles and hit the shot from well above the head of the key over Michael Porter to end the Wildcats' six-game winning streak.

No. 23 Michigan 74, Illinois 64: ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Manny Harris had 16 points and four teammates also scored in double figures as the Wolverines ended the Illini's seven-game winning streak.
Michigan (11-3, 1-1 Big Ten) rebounded from losing to Wisconsin by 12 points this week in its conference opener.
Reserve Calvin Brock led Illinois with 13 points and Alex Legion had 10.
The Fighting Illini (13-2, 1-1) had a road win over No. 9 Purdue on Tuesday and a victory against then-No. 25 Missouri on a neutral court in their streak.
Illinois missed some open shots in the closing minutes and the Wolverines made enough free throws to turn the closely contested game into a double-digit victory.
Michigan was so balanced on offense that it almost had six double-figure scorers for the first time in six years.
Illinois has won 17 of the last 21 games against Michigan, but has lost four straight in Ann Arbor.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
No. 13 California 54, Arizona State 53: TEMPE, Ariz. -- Ashley Walker's layup with 1.8 seconds remaining gave California a win over Arizona State.
Dymond Simon hit a 3-pointer with 8.7 seconds to go to put Arizona State up 53-52. But that left enough time for one more possession for California (11-2, 2-0 Pacific-10). Kelsey Adrian missed a layup but Walker got the loose ball underneath for the game-winner.
Simon's shot capped a 13-2 run over nearly five minutes for the Sun Devils (8-6, 0-2).
Natasha Vital scored 17 of her 19 points in the second half, including a go-ahead basket with 39 seconds left to give the Bears a 52-50 lead.
Walker then stole the ball from Simon with 19 seconds remaining and Vital was fouled, but she missed the two free throws to set up Simon's go-ahead shot.
Simon scored 17 points for Arizona State.
NBA
Grizzlies 102, Mavericks 82: MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- O.J. Mayo scored 18 of his 21 points in the second half, and the Grizzlies snapped a 13-game losing streak to Dallas.
Marc Gasol had 19 points for Memphis, which ended a four-game skid overall. Rudy Gay and Hakim Warrick added 18 apiece.
Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 28 points, hitting 11 of 21 shots. Jason Terry scored 18 and Josh Howard finished with 12 points, but was 5 of 12 from the field.
*
Knicks 100, Celtics 88: NEW YORK -- Wilson Chandler scored a career-high 31 points and the Knicks snapped an eight-game losing streak against the sputtering Celtics.
Al Harrington added 30 for the Knicks, who hadn't beaten Boston at Madison Square Garden since March 23, 2005, dropping the last six meetings. Capitalizing on a quiet night for Kevin Garnett, they seized control in the third quarter, never let it get too close in the fourth and added to what is now clearly a Celtics slump.
Paul Pierce scored 31 points for the Celtics, who lost for the fourth time in six games after a 27-2 start. Ray Allen added 16, but Garnett, who seemed to hurt his right leg late in the third quarter, had only six points on 1-of-6 shooting with nine rebounds.
Lee had 14 points and 14 rebounds as he and Chandler, who scored 15 points in the decisive third quarter, consistently outworked Garnett and Boston's front line.
*
Wizards 80, Cavaliers 77: WASHINGTON -- LeBron James was called for traveling while driving for the potential tying basket with 2.3 seconds left, and his Cavaliers lost to the Eastern Conference-worst Wizards.
James finished with 30 points, 10 assists and six rebounds. But nobody else on the Cavaliers scored more than 13, and they were held to their lowest point total this season.
Antawn Jamison's 26 points and 13 rebounds included a baseline jumper with 10.5 seconds left that put Washington ahead 79-77. Cleveland's next possession ended with James' turnover, and Caron Butler added a free throw for the final margin.

Lakers 100, Trail Blazers 86: LOS ANGELES -- Kobe Bryant scored 26 points, Pau Gasol added 19 and the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Portland Trail Blazers for their sixth consecutive victory and 15th straight at home.
LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with 22 points and 11 rebounds, as all five starters scored in double figures. But the Blazers shot only 39 percent overall.
Facing the Trail Blazers for the first time since their season-opening, 96-76 win -- Portland's lowest point total ever against the Lakers -- the defending Western Conference champions pulled away with a 15-3 run that increased their four-point lead to 75-59 with 2:12 left in the third quarter.
