STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State safety Victor Johnson will face a possession of a controlled substance charge in addition to an accusation of obstructing a police officer leveled against him after his weekend arrest.
According to a police report released Wednesday by the university, Johnson was arrested early Saturday morning after police responded to a complaint about a suspicious odor at his apartment.
An affidavit filed by an OSU police officer alleges that Johnson initially refused to let police search his apartment. A bag of marijuana was found after officers obtained a search warrant.
Formal charges were filed late Tuesday against the 20-year-old Johnson.
Johnson is scheduled to appear in court on the charges on Aug. 23, when he is also due for his next hearing on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Johnson has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge.
Johnson's attorney, Willie Baker, said it would be premature for him to comment on the case.

SAN ANTONIO -- Dallas Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett and rookie linebacker Sean Lee are out of practice again because of injuries.
Bennett hasn't practiced yet the first five days of training camp, missing all eight sessions so far because of a sprained ankle sustained before arriving at camp. Coach Wade Phillips says Bennett is getting close to being back.
Lee, the second-round draft pick, was on the field during a "teaching session" walkthrough without pads for rookies and backups Wednesday morning. But he didn't participate in the full-squad afternoon session in pads after also missing two practices Tuesday because of a strained quadriceps.
Jason Hatcher (elbow) is among at least three defensive linemen out.

ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins will open training camp Thursday without offensive lineman Mike Williams, who is out for the year after a blood clot was discovered in his lungs.
Williams was a remarkable comeback story a year ago, dropping some 70 pounds as he returned to the NFL after a three-year absence to make the Redskins roster and start eight games.
This year he was expected to compete for the starting right guard spot, but a blood clot developed in his calf, leading to X-rays that located the other one in his chest.
He's taking blood thinners, which keeps him out for this season.

MOBILE, Ala. -- Bobby Wyatt shot a 57 at the Alabama Boys State Junior Championship.
The University of Alabama-bound teen, who turns 18 this weekend, had 12 birdies, an eagle and five pars Wednesday on the par-71, 6,628-yard course at the Country Club of Mobile. His birdie putt hung on the lip on the 18th green and he had to settle for par.
Wyatt needed 23 putts total and shot a 9-under 26 on the front nine.
The previous low round in the State Junior was 61 by Glenn Northcutt in 2004 on a par-70 layout which measured just over 5,000 yards.
Wyatt has won the state's junior championship the past three years.
