The basics
Day job: Musician
Position with the band: Singer/songwriter/guitarist/etc.
How long has the band been together? Crowder's been performing for seven years, and with essentially the same supporting cast for the last three.
The introspective stuff
Your band sounds like: 1968
First concert you ever attended: The Eagles
Three albums you'd want to have with you on a deserted island: Bob Dylan's Blonde on blonde, James Brown's Greatest Hits and The Beatles' Abbey Road.
Band/artist you'd most like to shoot with a BB gun as revenge for the years of mental anguish its/his/her music has caused: Kid Rock
Anyone else you'd like to shoot with a BB gun? I shouldn't say, but there's a lot of them.
Oddest concert experience (as the performer or attendee): We played a place that used to be a strip club and was converted into a venue. The stage used to be the catwalk.
Most memorable praise/criticism of your work: People have used some of my songs in their wedding. That's pretty big praise.
Favorite local hangout: Local sushi bar in Greenville, S.C.
Favorite beverage at said local hangout: A Daly Palmer (Avariation on the Arnold Palmer, a mix of tea and lemonade -- named for golfers John Daly and Arnold Palmer, it's a mix of Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka and lemonade).
Song you've always wanted to cover: Creedence Clearwater Revival's Bad Moon Rising (which Crowder has recorded and will soon be available on iTunes). What he'd like to cover: Some Beatles song. I'm not sure how we would interpret that, but I'd like to.
Did you ever consider any other names for the band? No.
Any albums available? Years of release? Gold and the Sand (2008), Starting All Over (2006), Learning to Let Go (2005), Certain Starlights and Fleeting Daybreaks (A Farewell to Arms) (2001).
