How did you get into the bartending business?
Waiting tables, then promoted to bartender
How would you describe your bar to someone from out of town? What kind of crowd does it attract?
We're a sports bar that attracts people who love sports. We have great drink specials.
Do you have a favorite memory of working there?
Talking to regulars and hearing all of their stories and building relationships with them.
What's the funniest, strangest or most awkward thing you've seen on the job?
A guy proposing at one of the tables. She said no! Awkward.
Have you observed any great or painfully awful pick-up lines/attempts? Please share.
Unfortunately, yes. One of the rules of bartending is to appear single even if you are in a relationship. It's just fun to play along.
Most requested mixed drink and beer.
Crown is pretty popular; Miller Lite draft.
What's your beverage of choice?
An ice cold Miller Lite with a lime.
What's the best non-weekend day to show up? Why?
I would say Wednesday or Monday. Monday because Monday night football always gets a little crazy and Wednesdays because of great food and drink specials.
What three songs or albums are most likely to be heard over the stereo these days?
Classic rock all the way. It's usually all we play. Pink Floyd, Beatles, The Who.
Ever served any celebrities? Who? How did they tip?
Dan Campbell (tight end for the New Orleans Saints) came in once. I didn't recognize him, but every guy in the bar was going crazy.
My bar is mot similar to:
Mos Eisley (Star Wars)
Any daily drink specials you want to mention?
$2 domestic drafts. All day. Every day.
