1 dead, 1 critical in Tyler refinery fire

TYLER -- One man has died of injuries from a Tyler oil refinery explosion and fire.

Forty-nine-year-old James Dale Sharman died Friday morning, his mother, Christine Sharman, told The Associated Press.

Another worker remained in critical condition at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Delek Refining President Fred Green said that no cause for the explosion and fire had been determined and that the Nashville, Tenn.-based company continued its investigation. Meanwhile, production at the 60,000-barrel-per-day refinery in East Texas has stopped.
