CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Prosecutors began trying to salvage videotaped evidence in the case against a now-former worker charged with abusing residents in a state facility for the developmentally disabled.
Judge Sandra Watts heard arguments Tuesday that a cell phone found with videos of disturbing abuse, residents fighting each other, at the Corpus Christi State School should not be supressed.
Watts indicated Monday that the case law she had read left her no choice but to keep the phone out of the trial for Timothy Dixon, a former employee who allegedly videotaped orchestrated fights among residents.
Watts has recessed to read new cases presented by prosecutors.
