Texas A&M redshirt freshman running back Deneric Prince has entered the transfer portal, according to an athletic department spokesperson.
Prince did not participate in practice Tuesday, according to the spokesperson.
The 6-foot-1, 211-pounder saw limited action during his time in Aggieland. He appeared in one game last season, rushing for 21 yards on two carries against Northwestern State. He redshirted the remainder of that season.
With starting running back Jashaun Corbin shelved for the season with a hamstring injury, head coach Jimbo Fisher leaned on sophomore running back Jacob Kibodi and freshman Isaiah Spiller to fill the void during Saturday’s 62-3 win over Lamar. Sophomore transfer Cordarrian Richardson also had two carries for 22 yards and a touchdown near the end of the game.
Sophomore running back Vernon Jackson is also out for the season with a neck injury.
