OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. — The Texas A&M men’s golf team shot a second-round 15-over 295 and drop two spots into seventh place at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational on Saturday.

Baylor leads the tournament at 281–564 (+4) followed by Georgia Tech (+5), Pepperdine (+7), North Carolina (+13), Illinois (+16), Texas (+17), A&M (+18), Florida and Florida State (+19) and Oklahoma State (+20).

A&M sophomore Sam Bennett shot 71 and is tied for ninth at 141, while senior Josh Gliege is tied for 19th (72–143). Junior Walker Lee is tied for 37th (75–146). Senior Brandon Smith is tied for 52nd (77–149), and senior Dan Erickson is tied for 58th (79–150).

A&M will be paired with Florida and FSU for the final round starting at 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
