The Texas A&M football team has seven newcomers who started taking classes this week, five who officials announced last month along with Longview High defensive tackle Zaycoven Henderson and New Orleans' wide receiver Devante “Speedy” Noil from Karr High School.
Henderson switched from Texas and Noil picked the Aggies over LSU. They join: QB Kyle Allen from Scottsdale, Ariz.; OL J.J. Gustafson from Dallas Jesuit; and a trio of JC transfers – OL Jermaine Eluemunor from Lackawanna CC (he's from Denville, N.J.), OL Avery Gennesy from East Mississippi College (he's from Southaven, Miss.) and WR Josh Reynolds from Tyler JC (he's from San Antonio).
That's a big boost to have all those guys on campus for spring drills.
More good news for the Aggies is that wide receiver Malcome Kennedy and guard Jarvis Harrison didn't declare for the NFL draft so they'll be back for their senior seasons.
