MALIBU, Calif. — Texas A&M men’s tennis players Carlos Aguilar and Hady Habib went undefeated in a combined six matches Thursday at the Oracle ITA Masters. Aguilar and Habib each claimed two matches in mixed doubles and won their first-round matches in the singles draw.

No. 13 Aguilar won 6-4, 6-2 over Valparaiso’s Brandon Ancona in singles and will face Cleveland State’s Nico Mostardi in the second round Friday, while 16th-ranked Habib took down Weber State’s Kris Van Wyk 6-1, 6-2 and will face Pepperdine’s Corrado Summaria.

Aguilar and Georgia’s Katarina Jokic won a pair of matches in mixed doubles to advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face Matias Soto and Anna Turati. Habib teamed with North Carolina’s Alexa Graham for two wins and will face Gui Osorio and Ashley Lahey in the quarterfinals Friday.
