NEW YORK — Former Texas A&M All-American Jackson Withrow and teammate Jack Sock defeated seventh-seeded Mike and Bob Bryan 6-4, 7-5 on Monday in the men’s doubles round of 16 at the U.S. Open.

Withrow and Sock advanced to face 15th-seeded Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday. It will be Withrow’s first appearance in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam event.
