As a freshman, the Fort Bend Marshall alumnus saw action in 30 games for the Aggies, averaging 3.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. The high mark of his short stint with the Aggies was an 11-point performance against UC Irvine on Nov. 19.
Walker is the third Aggie who announced he was leaving the program since the firing of former head coach Billy Kennedy and hiring of Buzz Williams from Virginia Tech. Guard Admon Gilder previously announced his transfer to Gonzaga, and Savion Flagg decided to leave early for the NBA Draft. He has not hired an agent, leaving the option open to return.
