A&M's Robert Williams shoots a free throw during an exhibition game at Rice in October 2017. That was the last time the Aggies and Longhorns played in men's basketball.

The Texas A&M men’s basketball team will play Texas on Dec. 8 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

Tickets for the return of the Lone Star Showdown range from $25 to $200 with a $15 youth ticket.

Dickies’ website says tipoff and television broadcast information will be announced at a later date, though it is listing the time for now at 2 p.m.

Dickies, which will open in November, is a multievent facility, which will seat 13,300 for basketball. TCU will play Southern California in the inaugural basketball game Dec. 6. George Strait will perform there Nov. 23.

A&M and Texas last played in basketball in an exhibition game at Rice in the 2017-18 season to benefit those affected by Hurricane Harvey. It was the second meeting between the programs since the Aggies left the Big 12 Conference for the Southeastern Conference. A&M claimed an 84-73 victory on Nov. 25, 2015, in the Bahamas.
