GARRETT

A&M's Myles Garrett announced Saturday he'll enter the NFL draft.

Former Texas A&M defensive end and projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft Myles Garrett made the rounds through the ESPN "car wash" Monday, with the exception of the "Mike & Mike" radio show.

SEC network analyst and former LSU standout Booger McFarland filled in for "Mike & Mike" co-host Mike Golic and tweeted that Garrett would not come on to the show because of McFarland's previous criticisms of Garrett's play.

Later, on the "Russillo and Kanell" show, Garrett explained his reasoning for skipping the morning drive radio and TV show.

"I don't appreciate the kind of negativity and bias he shows toward some guys," Garrett told the show's hosts. "I don't feel like I should have to sit there and take that. I have no problem sitting on and taking criticism from anybody, but when he shows bias towards a certain team or a certain player and spouts negativity to anybody else, that just doesn't sit well with me."

Garrett said he believed McFarland gave that treatment to several players, not just himself.

McFarland tweeted about Garrett 13 times since October of 2015, with a mixed bag of praise and criticism, but has stuck with the opinion that Garrett should not be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. In those tweets, he said he would take LSU safety Jamal Adams and Alabama defensive tackle Jonathan Allen over Garrett. He also stated the opinion that Garrett takes rushing plays off.
