Texas A&M junior defensive end Myles Garrett was named a Walter Camp first-team All-American for a second consecutive year.

Garrett finished his junior-year regular season with 8.5 sacks, 15 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

He adds the honor to an All-SEC first team selection earlier this week.

Garrett is one of six SEC players to be named to the Walter Camp first-team All-American list this year, including Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen and Tennessee defensive lineman Derek Barnett.

Both Garrett and quarterback Trevor Knight are in Atlanta, participating in the College Football Awards Show. Garrett is a finalist for the Bednarik Award, given to the top defensive player of the year.

Knight was announced as the winner of the Wuerffel Trophy earlier this week, given to the FBS football player that excels in community service as well as athletics and academics.
