Texas A&M vs. Auburn soccer

The 12th-ranked Texas A&M soccer team will open the regular season against No. 13 Santa Clare at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Stevens Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The match will be broadcast live on KAGC 97.3 FM.

A&M tied TCU 0-0 in an exhibition match Saturday in Fort Worth as three freshman goalkeepers — Shantel Hutton, Jordan Burbank and Kenna Caldwell — combined on the shutout for the Aggies.

A&M went 17-5-1 overall last season and 6-3-1 in Southeastern Conference play to finish tied for third in the standings. The Aggies won two matches in the NCAA tournament before losing at Tennessee 3-0 in the Sweet 16.
