DOHA, Qatar — Former Texas A&M All-Americans Jessica Bear and Deon Lendore helped their 4x400-meter relay teams advance during Saturday’s semifinals at the IAAF World Championships.

Beard ran the opening leg for the United States’ women team that posted a world-leading time of 3 minutes, 22.96 seconds to win its heat.

Lendore anchored the Trinidad & Tobago men’s team and pushed it from fifth to third place on his carry. The squad advanced to the finals based on time (3:01.35).

The 4x400 finals will begin with the women at 1:15 p.m. Sunday followed by the men at 1:30 p.m.
