SPRINGTOWN — The Texas A&M equestrian team overcame a 7-6 deficit to beat TCU 9-8 on Friday at Turning Point Ranch.

A&M’s Rebekah Chenelle, Rhian Murphy and Grace Boston won over fenches, while Ashley Davidson and Sarah Orsak won in horsemanship. Shelby Reine won A&M’s lone point in reining, then on the flat, Chenelle, Murphy and Brianna Peddicord won points to give the Aggies the team victory.

A&M (2-0) will open Southeastern Conference play at 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at South Carolina.

TCU fell to 1-1.
