Texas A&M sophomore linebacker Anthony Hines has been named to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award’s watch list.

Hines, who redshirted last season, earned a spot on the All-Southeastern Conference freshman team in 2017 when he had 33 tackles, six tackles for loss and a forced fumble.

A&M will open the season at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29 against Texas State at Kyle Field.
