COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Texas A&M men’s and women’s cross country teams each placed second at the Gans Creek Classic on Friday at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course.
Missouri won the men’s title with 44 points, while A&M had 55. The Tiger women also won with 28 points, while the Aggie women had 42.
A&M’s Kelsie Warren finished as the top collegian and second overall in the women’s 6,000-meter race in 21 minutes, 19.6 seconds. Also for A&M, Ashley Driscoll took fifth in 21:39.1 followed by Julia Black (10th, 22:06.1), Abbey Santoro (14th, 22:20.9) and Ashton Hutcherson (16th, 22:31.5).
In the men’s race, A&M’s Eric Casarez covered the 8,000-meter course in 25:08.6 to finish third, followed by teammates Wes McPhail (ninth, 25:26.4), Gavin Hoffpauir (12th, 25:41.2), Zephyr Seagraves (14th, 25:50.3) and Johnathon Blaine (19th, 26:04.0).
Former college runner Kaitlyn Shea won the women’s individual title in 21:12.4. Missouri’s Thomas George won the men’s in 24:49.9.
