LIMA, Peru — Texas A&M junior Jimena Lopez will play for the Mexico women’s soccer team in the fifth-place match at the Pan-American Games on Tuesday.

Mexico and Columbia played to a 2-2 draw on Saturday at Estado San Marcos to wrap up group play. Mexico will play either Panama or Peru at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the fifth-place match.

Lopez played all 90 minutes at defender Saturday. She has played 255 of 270 minutes in the tournament as Mexico has gone 1-1-1.

Lopez had three goals and three assists in 21 matches (18 starts) for A&M last season.
