Texas A&M decathlete Nathan Hite was awarded a $10,000 scholarship by the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Committee, which awards 126 such scholarships annually to student-athletes who excel athletically and academically.

QUERETARO, Mexico — Texas A&M’s Devin Dixon won the 800 meters at the North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) U23 Championships with a time of 1:47.69.

Three Aggies will compete in the NACAC U23 Championships beginning Friday in Queretaro, Mexico. Devin Dixon and Syaira Richardson will compete in the United States, while Jazmine Fray will compete for Jamaica.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Texas A&M’s Nathan Hite moved into the decathlon lead in the javelin then held on in the 1,500 meters to win with 7,468 points at the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday at John McDonnell Field.

The Texas A&M track and field teams will host the A&M Invitational II at 5 p.m. Friday at E.B. Cushing Stadium. The meet will serve as the Aggies’ tuneup for the Southeastern Conference meet set for May 9-11 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Texas A&M senior Ilolu Izu was named the Southeastern Conference co-men’s runner of the week award Tuesday after winning the 400-meter hurdles in 49.68 seconds on Saturday at A&M’s Alumni Muster. Izu shared the award with Florida’s Grant Holloway.

The Alumni Muster meet, which will features some of the best Aggie track and field athletes of the past, will be held Saturday at Cushing Stadium. Field events start at 12:30 p.m. and the running finals get underway at 5 p.m. Aggie seniors will be recognized at 4:30 p.m.

Texas A&M’s Infinite Tucker was named the Southeastern Conference male co-runner of the week. Tucker took second in the 400-meter hurdles in an SEC-leading time of 49.78 seconds. He shared the weekly award with LSU’s Jaron Flournoy.
