Texas A&M’s Carlos Aguilar and Hady Habib are set to compete in the NCAA Men’s Singles Championships, and freshman Katya Townsend will play in the NCAA Women’s Singles Championships on Monday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.

Habib will face UC-Santa Barbara’s Nicolas Moreno De Alboran at 10 a.m., and Aguilar will play seventh-ranked Christian Sigsgaard of Texas at 3 p.m.

Townsend will have a rematch against Rice’s Michaela Haet in her opening match at 4 p.m. Haet beat Townsend 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 in the Aggies’ first-round NCAA matchup against the Owls on May 4.

Aguilar also will team up with Barnaby Smith in the men’s doubles draw, which begins Tuesday. They will face 10th-ranked Brandon Holt and Riley Smith of Southern Cal in the first round.

Aggie duo Jayci Goldsmith and Tatiana Makarova will travel with the team in hopes of receiving a spot in the women’s doubles bracket. The pair was listed as second alternates when the field was announced last month.
