Hopcus-Dusek Wedding

Lorian Nicole Hopcus and Andrew David Dusek were united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Monsignor John McCaffrey and Reverend Edward Karasek, followed by a reception at The Brazos Center. The bride is the daughter of Mark and Kim Hopcus of Bryan. She is the granddaughter of Marie Loria, and the late Chris Loria, and Bernard and Patsy Hopcus, all of Bryan. The groom is the son of Dick and Angela Dusek of Bryan. He is the grandson of Janie Vavra, and the late James Vavra, and the late Theodore and Joyce Dusek, all of Caldwell. Serving her sister as Maid of Honor was Leah Hopcus. Matron of Honor was Emmy Kiphen, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kristen Danford, friend of the bride; Jacqueline Dusek, sister of the groom; McKinley Green, cousin of the bride; and Grace Dusek, cousin of the groom. The groom's youngest cousin, Chloe Vavra, served as the flower girl. The Best Man was childhood friend of the groom, Matthew Williamson. Groomsmen were childhood friends of the groom Scott Lovett, Matthew Hillestad, Richard Middleton, Tyler Varisco and cousin of the groom, Eric Hausman. Ring bearers were friend of the bride, August Kiphen, and cousin of the groom, Lincoln Giese. Ushers were Grant Dusek, Adam Hausman, Nathan Phillips, all cousins of the groom and Alex Robinson, cousin of the bride. The beautiful music for the ceremony was provided by members of the St. Joseph Folk Choir Danny and Kathy Borski, Donald Borski, Lindy Borski, Kathy Lewis, and pianist, Dr. John Nielson-Gammon. Scripture readers were Jada Jedlicka, friend of the bride, Susan Vavra, aunt of the groom and Debbie Robinson, aunt of the bride. Eucharistic gifts were brought up by Greg Hopcus, Lisa Lero, Lisa Phillips and Carl Vavra, all Godparents of the bride and groom. Eucharistic ministers were friends of the bride and groom Chuck Konderla and Craig Lewis. Lorian is a 2012 graduate of Rudder High School, a 2015 graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in agricultural communications and journalism, and a 2018 graduate of Texas Tech University with a master's degree in strategic communication and innovation. She is employed as a communications specialist in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M. Andrew is a 2009 graduate of Bryan High School and a 2013 graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics. He is a marketing consultant for Southwest Agribusiness Consulting. After a honeymoon trip to St. Kitts in the West Indies, the couple will reside in Bryan. The families sincerely appreciate all of their family and friends who helped with the preparations and were there to celebrate and fill Lorian and Andrew's wedding with many cherished memories!
