Jessica Marie Potts and Grady Wade Norton were united in marriage at half past four on February 20, 2016 on the Grandeur Stage of the Waco Hippodrome, Waco, Texas.
The ceremony officiant was Pastor Stephen Rynearson of Peace Lutheran Church, Hewitt, Texas. Ceremony music, including the bride's entrance, was provided by band members, Jerod Justice and Jeff Dolman of The Doc's.
Guests were then escorted to their seats by Joel & Peter Goff, cousins of the Groom.
A formal reception followed at the Phoenix Ballroom with a seated cocktail hour, dinner and dance. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents in the Banquet Hall of George's Restaurant.
Jessica is the daughter of Marshall & Julie Potts of Hewitt, and Wynn & Ellen Watson of Axtell. She is the granddaughter of Frank & Cindy Potts, Ron & Elizabeth Linder, Ted & Anne Leiman, Frank & Glenda Watson and Ed & Edna Thompson. She is a 2006 graduate of Midway High School and a 2010 graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Studies. Jessica is an art teacher at College Station High School and a Cheerleading Sponsor.
Grady is the son of Gary & Greta Norton of College Station, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Kenneth & Colleen Norton and Arden & Frances Johnson. He is a 2003 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School and a 2007 graduate of Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Grady is currently employed with H3 Solutions as a Medical Device Representative.
The bridal party consisted of: Veronica Samo, Maid of Honor, Becky Luna, Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Johnson, Sarah Benavidez, Bailee Niles, Whitney Becker and Shelby Romanov. Junior Bride was Madilyn Potts, sister of the Bride. Best man was Gary Norton, father of the groom; Groomsmen were Gavin Norton, brother of the groom, Daniel Toler, Brad Cheshire, Gabe Gallaway, Nick Grimes, and Kevin Potts, brother of the Bride. Ring Bearer was Grant Saragosa, cousin of the Groom; flower girls were Kenzie Couch, cousin of the Bride and Landri Luna.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents and escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a Maggie Sottero drop waist gown, ivory satin with pearl beading and gemstones. The bridesmaids wore metallic gold sequined gowns. Groomsmen wore navy blue tuxes all from Georgio's of Waco.
Jessica carried a unity bouquet of white roses that was assembled, and wrapped in gold ribbons, by the mothers as part of the ceremony prior to her entrance down the aisle. She carried an ivory and blue handkerchief also carried by her grandmother, Edna Thompson at her wedding in 1957.
All floral arrangements were designed by Treasured Blossoms of Austin, Texas. The couple will take a honeymoon trip this summer to the Bahamas, they reside in College Station.
