Miss Leslie Erin Thornton and Mr. Davison William Nutt were united in marriage on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at two o'clock in the afternoon at St. Mary's Catholic Church in College Station, Texas.
The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Brian McMaster. The bride's parents hosted a reception following the ceremony at Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas. Guests enjoyed cocktails outdoors and dinner and dancing inside the clubhouse and on the terrace overlooking the golf course. Music for the evening was provided by Ice House Band of Dallas.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Christopher's World Grille in Bryan.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Thornton of College Station. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Jimmie Holder and the late Billie Holder of College Station and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill Thornton of San Antonio.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Nutt of Marlin, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. C.W. Nutt and the late Bill Nutt of Marlin and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Rogers of Marlin.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Jim Hjelm antique silk taffeta gown accented with Swarovski jeweled straps. The ruffled skirt of the fit to flair gown cascaded to a swept train.
Serving as the matron of honor was Miranda Rajevac of Houston. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Nutt of Dallas, sister of the groom, Tamara Thornton of Katy, sister-in-law of the bride, Jennifer Ward, Allison Coogan, and Liana Santos, all of Houston. The flower girl was the bride's niece, Grace Thornton of Katy.
Serving the groom as best man was Will Johnson of San Antonio. Groomsmen were Gabe Thornton of Katy, brother of the bride, Barrett Terry of Pearland, Kenneth Kautzer of College Station, Matthew Yezak of Bremond, and Clayton Merritt of Houston.
Owen Thornton of Katy, the bride's nephew, was the ring bearer. The bride's nephews, Ethan and Patrick Thornton of Katy served as ushers, as did Brandon Garrett of Dallas, Brandon Drews of Austin, and William Butler of Austin.
Leslie is a 2002 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School in College Station and a 2006 graduate of the Mays Business School at Texas A&M. Davison is a 2001 graduate of Marlin High School and a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M. He received his MBA from the University of Houston.
Leslie and Davison met while working for Moody National Companies in Houston. Following their honeymoon to the Hawaiian Islands, Leslie and Davison will be living in Houston, Texas.
