A&M concert to benefit tsunami survivors

Texas A&M University student organizations will hold a benefit concert Thursday night at Rudder Auditorium to raise money for tsunami relief efforts.

The Aggie Swing Cats, Aggie Wranglers, Aggieland Mariachi, Apotheosis, Ballet Folkorico, Freudian Slip, Indonesian Student Association, Phi Beta Sigma and Singing Cadets will perform during the show. The Aggie Yell Leaders also will participate.

Tera Utley, a member of the Aggie Wranglers and coordinator of the concert, said the groups’ goal is to raise $12,500 through ticket sales and donations.

The Indonesian Student Association will perform traditional dances from areas of Indonesia hit hardest by the destructive waves.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. concert cost $5 and can be purchased at the MSC Box Office. For more information, call 845-5974.
