Texas A&M's Anna Blagodarova and Tiffany Clifford advanced to Tuesday's semifinals of the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southwest Women's Regional Championships at the Mitchell Tennis Center.

Blagodarova and Clifford defeated Sam Houston State's Lata Assudani and Irina Sotnikova, 9-8 (6) in the quarterfinals. Blagodarova and Clifford will face Texas' Mia Marovic and Kendra Strohm on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The finals will be at 12:30 p.m.

The doubles champion will earn a spot in the Nov. 3-6 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships at Ohio State University.

Rice's Blaire DiSesa and Alanna Rogers defeated A&M's Sarah Foster and Anna Lubinsky, 8-5, in other quarterfinal play.

In singles, Texas Tech's Tara Browning defeated Lubinsky, 3-6, 6-2, 10-8, and Baylor's Zuzana Krchnakova defeated Ale Jordan, 6-3, 6-3 in the consolation semifinals.

The tournament concludes at 2:30 p.m. with the Baylor's Zuzana Zemenova facing Zuzana Cerna for the singles championship.
