Blinn to host divorce seminar Saturday

Divorce Decisions, a seminar presented by Blinn College, will be offered Saturday for couples contemplating divorce.

The seminar will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the College Park Center at Blinn’s main Bryan campus, which is on East 29th Street just past the intersection with Villa Maria Road.

Speakers will explain a couple’s options at every stage in the process, beginning with counseling and mediation.

Family law attorney and mediator Linda McLain will cover procedures; property and child custody; and effective attorney-client communication. Brazos County Court at Law No. 1 Judge Randy Michel will discuss the types of cases that should and should not be brought to court and children’s role in a divorce trial.

Also speaking will be specialists in conflict resolution, counseling and financial advising.
