Blinn to celebrate Black History Month

Blinn College marks Black History Month with Celebrate Diversity, a daylong event featuring poetry readings, music, the movie “Madea’s Class Reunion” and a reception beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday in the student center in Bryan.

An exhibit will continue through the month with African artifacts, fabrics, art and historical information such as the Emancipation Proclamation, the “Negro National Anthem” and the history of Motown.

Celebrate Diversity is sponsored by the Blinn Ethnic Student Organization.
