Bryan man charged with terror threat

A Bryan man who police said threatened to kill a man with a crowbar was charged Monday with making a terroristic threat.
Marion Jones III was being held in the Brazos County Jail on $4,000 bail.
According to court records, police were called to the 800 block of Waco Street because of a disturbance. They encountered a man standing in his front yard who told officers he had been having problems with Jones throughout the night.
Moment later, records state, Jones’ car stopped down the street and he emerged from the vehicle with the metal bar, holding it in an “aggressive manner.”
Jones shouted that he was going to kill the man, records state, and police instructed him to drop the bar. As police approached the 23-year-old, he told them he could “handle it personally,” according to the affidavit.
The man was arrested and police searched his vehicle. Court records state that officers found marijuana in his car and he was charged with possession of the drug.
