East 23rd Street to close for resurfacing

Eagle staff report

East 23rd Street in Bryan will be closed for the next two days as the road, from Texas Avenue to Pierce Street, is resurfaced.

The 1,900-foot section of East 23rd will be partially closed while construction crews tear off and replace the surface layer of asphalt.

The road will remain open in a limited capacity, Bryan spokesman Jay Socol said.

If construction goes as planned, the street will open up to full use Thursday, Socol said.
