Voss-Watson Wedding

Miss Christian Leigh Voss and Mr. James Garland Watson, III were united in marriage on

Saturday, May 3, 2003, at half past six o’clock in the evening at Saint Paul Evangelical Lu-

theran Church in La Grange. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Robert J. Groenke, Jr. and music was provided by organist Mrs. Laura Gillette. A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall in La Grange, with music provided by the Rockafellas. On the eve of the wedding, the rehearsal dinner was hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Garland Watson, Jr. at Frisch Auf Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gene Voss of La Grange. She is the

granddaughter of Mrs. Bernice Lehmann of Columbus and the late Roy C. Lehmann and Mrs. Aleyn Voss of La Grange and the late Mr. Randolph Voss.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neelley of Bryan and Dr. and Mrs. Garland

Watson, Jr. of College Station. He is the grandson of Mr. Frank Dehnisch of Mathis and the late Mrs. Dehnisch, and the late Mr. James G. Watson, Sr. of Bay City an the late Ms. Sarah R. Watson of Bay City.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal

gown of ivory Italian satin designed by Ashley Jordan for Impression Bridals. The two-

piece gown featured a strapless bustier top edged with a braided border, enhanced with gold thread and beading on the embroidered cording with sequins and seed pearls. The A-Line skirt featured side box pleats and was accented along the bottom with matching embroidery, sequins and seed pearls flowing around to the cathedral length train. For her veil, the bride chose a tiara with pearls and crystals and a two-tiered finger tip length veil. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white calla lilies.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Bonnie Bush Pineda of Austin. Brides-

maids were Mrs. Rebecca Voss Fields of Kingwood and Mrs. Robin Voss Huff of Corpus

Christi, both sisters of the bride, Miss Sonja Renee Fritsch of Austin, Mrs. Andrea

Plesko Hickman of Fredricksburg, Virginia, Mrs. Suzanne Schneider Hoelscher of Hous-

ton and Miss Sara Jacqueline Watson of Bryan, sister of the groom. Mrs. Adrienne Watson and Mrs. Cindy Watson both of Bryan and sister-in-laws of the groom served in the house party.

Mr. Charles Watson and Mr. Christopher Watson both brothers of the groom from Bryan served as best men. Groomsmen included Mr. Blake Caesar, of San Antonio, Mr. Kent Dalsing of College Station, Mr. Clay Ernst of College Station, Mr. David Riley of Matagorda and Mr. Harry Watson, brother of the groom from College Station. Ushers included Mr. Scott Fields of Kingwood, Mr. Victor Huff of Corpus Christi, both brother-in-laws of the bride, Mr. Steve Swenke of Waco and Mr. Barry Williams of Laredo.

Christi is a graduate from La Grange High School and has her Associates Degree in Nursing from Blinn College in Bryan. She is employed by St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, Texas.

Tres is a graduate from Bryan High School and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and his Masters in Land, Economics and Real Estate. He is a Real Estate Broker with Craig Browne of Ashford Square Realty in College Station, Texas.

Following a honeymoon trip to Play del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will reside in College Station.
