Loraine Arnold

July 12, 1916 — July 2, 2003

CAMERON — Services for Loraine Arnold, 86, of League City and formerly of Cameron are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

The Rev. William Angel will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Arnold died Wednesday in a Nassau Bay hospital.

She was born in Benonine and was a member of the First Christian Church of Cameron, where she was a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Arnold.

Survivors include a son, Cecil Edward Arnold of Houston; a brother, Harold Clore of Houston; and a grandson.

Johnny Joseph Orlando

Nov. 3, 1971 — July 2, 2003

NAVASOTA — Services for Johnny Joseph Orlando, 31, of Navasota are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

The Rev. Perry Espinosa will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Mr. Orlando died Wednesday in Brazos County.

He was born in Brenham and was a journeyman plumber.

Survivors include a son, Caleb Joseph Orlando of Navasota; two brothers, Tommy Louis Orlando and Jimmy Wayne Orlando, both of Navasota; two stepsisters, Felicia Nobles and Rhonda Foster, both of Conroe; and his mother and stepfather, Gerry and Shorty Nobles of Navasota.

Charles ‘Charlie’ Randermann

June 2, 1926 — July 3, 2003

BRENHAM — Services for Charles “Charlie” Randermann, 77, of Brenham are set for 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham.

The Rev. Kim Little-Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.

Mr. Randermann died Thursday at his home.

He was born in the Kuykendall Community of Washington County and attended Blinn College. He served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II and formerly owned and operated the C&M Grocery in Brenham. He was retired from the Washington County Road and Bridge Department.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Randermann of Brenham; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bruce Randermann and Michael and Cindy Randermann, all of Brenham; a sister, Rosa Lee Sommers of Brenham; a sister-in-law, Lorene Randermann of Brenham; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Brazos Valley Hospice, Gambro Healthcare or St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Bruno G. Rekieta

Oct. 28, 1926 — July 4, 2003

BREMOND — Services for Bruno G. Rekieta, 76, of Bremond are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond.

The Rev. Celso Yu of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Bremond Funeral Home.

Mr. Rekieta died Friday in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Temple.

He was a lifelong resident of Bremond and was a rancher. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5053, Assembly 1143.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Bulgawich Rekieta of Bremond; two daughters and sons-in-law, Heddy and Gerald Yeager of Crockett and Mary and Bo Lutz of Calvert; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Stash and Lillian Rekieta, John and Christine Rekieta, Louis and Clara Rekieta and Ike and Patsy Rekieta, all of Bremond, and Ed Rekieta of Fort Worth; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen Wierzbicki of Bremond and Sophie and Bill Moore of Fort Worth; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Rekieta of Dallas; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
