The U.S. Army has awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Valor to Spc. Donald N. Breeding, 630th Military Police Company.

The award recognizes Breeding’s courage and bravery June 20 while serving as a military police gunner in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II, Army officials said.

Breeding’s efforts to engage enemy forces conducting a coordinated attack greatly contributed to the successful evacuation of critically wounded soldiers from the battlefield, officials said.

He is married to Bryan High School graduate Canita Lee-Breeding and is the son-in-law of Alan and Jan Lee.
