Pebble Creek Parkway segment to close for repairs

Eagle Staff Report

On Page A9 Saturday, a story should have said that segments of Pebble Creek Parkway from Greens Prairie Road to Royal Adelaide Drive will be closed for two days starting Sept. 20. Loose gravel could be present on the roadway through Friday, officials said.

Part of Pebble Creek Parkway will be closed Monday and Tuesday as College Station crews coat the roadway with a protective seal.

The closure will be from Greens Prairie Road to Royal Adelaide Drive.

Large vehicles should detour to Lakeway or Parkview drives or to Royal Adelaide to access the Pebble Creek subdivision until the new surface is ready later in the week.

Complete “curing,” or drying, of the seal-coated surface will take about three days. During that time, motorists could encounter loose rock and should drive cautiously, officials said.

A street sweeper will pick up loose items at the end of the week.

City officials warn all drivers to pay attention to directions as work is completed and watch for construction vehicles moving in and out of the work zones.
