Project Unity gets $13,000 donation

Representatives from the Verizon Foundation presented a $13,000 check Thursday to Project Unity to help the nonprofit organization computerize its operations.

Project Unity collaborates with 80 groups to provide services and assistance to families.

The Verizon group also gave the College Station Education Foundation $5,100, which it plans to put toward a teacher grant named for the company in April.
