A College Station dentist has been nominated for the Texas Academy of General Dentistry’s Texas Dentist of the Year Award. The award is considered the most prestigious honor a Texas dentist can earn.

John H. Case is one of 15 dentists nominated for this year’s award. He was nominated by the Brazos Valley Academy of General Dentistry.

He and the other nominees will be honored at the Texas Academy Awards on Sept. 20, during the annual Lone Star Dental Conference in Austin. Each nominee will be recognized and will receive an engraved plaque.

Case has volunteered with numerous organizations, including Dental Volunteers of Israel, Health Talents International — Guatemala, Texas Mission of Mercy, Brazos Valley Dental Clinic, Give Kids a Smile and Brazos Valley District Dental Society.
