Kara Schoenemann Hood, a 2014 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, was recently selected as one of four recipients of the Graduate School of Biomedical Science Presidential Research award. The $5,000 awards, sponsored by the presidents of both the UT Anderson Cancer Center and UT Health, are provided to recognize outstanding senior doctorate students and to showcase their dissertation work. The Presidential Award winners were the featured speakers at the fall 2019 Graduate School of Biomedical Science orientation for incoming students.
