Taryne Matthews of College Station and Rebekah Smith of Somerville were named to Southeastern's Fall 2013 Dean's list. Students named to the list earned at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and completed at least 12 degree credit hours during the fall session.

Alec Jeffery Paradowski, from College Station, was named to Wofford College's Fall '13 Dean's List. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

Cayla Lyn Henry of Bryan graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi on Dec. 21. Henry received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

Briseisa Esparza of College Station has been named to the dean's list at the University of St. Thomas-Houston for the fall 2013 semester. The dean's list recognizes students who have earned a GPA of at least 3.3 with a minumum of 12 credit hours.

Area students who graduated from Baylor University on Dec. 21 are: from Brenham, Grace Emily Coles, Bachelor of Business Administration, management, economics; from Bryan, John David Beeson, doctorate of philosophy, statistics; Victoria Rose Howard Lee, Bachelor of Arts, anthropology; and Patrisia Zarate Marquez, Bachelor of Arts, political science, environmental studies; from College Station, Kaylie Layne Kahlich, Bachelor of Music, applied music; and from Rockdale, Breanna Leigh Miller, Bachelor of Arts, journalism.
